B111: Automatic Assembly Machine for metal broom handles
Automatic Machine for the assembly of plastic inserts (hanger cap, thread or other type of insert) on broom metal handles.
The machine can be installed in-line, downstream of a Line for tube painting, plastic coating, etc., or upstream of a packing machine. It is a new generation machine designed with the objective to achieve high levels of production with extreme precision.
OPERATING PRINCIPLE
All the parts to be assembled, the metal tubes as the plastic inserts, are fed automatically.
The machine is provided with a horizontal stepping transport chain for tubes and a sequence of operating stations at both sides, which perform preliminary and assembly operations. In each station, 4 Handles are processed at every step of the Transport Chain. All of the moving parts are completely mechanical: they are driven by 12 independent axes.
FEATURES
The use of multiple independent axes of motion allows the machine model B111 to achieve higher output volumes than assembly machines provided with pneumatic or cam-driven actuators.
The machine setup for product changeover involves simple mechanical adjustments and software settings, allowing to manipulate and assemble different models of plastic inserts and thus manage the production of various models of handles.
The adjustment of the length of the Handle is automatic and is completely managed through the software interface.
The machine is equipped with a quality control system, with a separated magazine for those handles which are detected as non-conforming due to imperfections of the tube or of the plastic parts.
OPTIONS
The machine can be provided with a labeling unit.
