B1P: Automatic Sanding Machine for paintbrush handles
Machine for extra-fine sanding of paint brush handles with flat, rounded or round cross section.
The machine can be installed in-line, downstream of a milling machine.
OPERATING PRINCIPLE
The loading of the handles is performed manually by piling rough-finished handles into a feeding magazine.
The handles are picked up from the magazine by a manipulator and then held between two revolving centers which spin them and bring them in contact with the vertical, rotating abrasive belts in the rear of the machine.
As the handles slide along the abrasive belts, they achieve an excellent surface finishing.
At the end of the sanding cycle, the finished items are automatically released by the centers and then offloaded from the machine.
FEATURES
The machine setup for product changeover involves simple mechanical adjustments.
In particular, the adjustment of the loader for different sizes of handles can be accomplished in a matter of seconds and does not require the use of wrenches.
Depending on the size and shape of the handles and on the material to be sanded, the following parameters can be adjusted: feed and rotation speed of the handles, speed and amplitude of the oscillation of the carriage with the abrasive belts, position and tension of every single belt (independently from each other).
OPTIONS
Upon request, the machine can be provided with an additional sharp edges sanding device for large-headed handles. An additional motor is also required for this device.
